So you want to work out at home… Here’s 3 suggested equipment lists to help you figure out your desired set-up.

“A Space in my House”

  1. Adjustable Dumbbells (PowerBlock 2 × 5-50-pound or 2 × 5-70-pound, or NUOBELL 2 x 5–80 lb set), $500-800

  2. Flat Bench (Single-post like this, or dual post like this), $120-200

Bare Essentials Garage Gym ($$)

  • Whatever Dumbbells you already have, ideally: 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 35

  • Standard affordable 45-pound Barbell (Dmoose, Intek, Cap Barbell)

  • Flat Bench (Titan, Rep Fitness)

  • Free-Standing Squat/Bench Rack (Titan T-3, Fringe Sport)

  • Full Set of Bumper Plates (or Full set of iron + 10# Bumper Plates)

Reliable, Durable & Fancy Garage Gym ($$$)

  • Two Adjustable Dumbbells to 50 pounds (Power Block Pro, or NordicTrack Select-A-Weight)

  • 45-pound Barbell for strength training (Rogue Ohio, Titan Performance Powerbar)

  • Hexagonal Bar (Titan Olympic, Dick’s Sporting Goods Brand)

  • Adjustable Bench (REP 4100 or 3100, Titan Performance Series)

  • Wall Mount Squat/Bench Rack Foldable or Permanent Install (Rogue Half Rack, Titan T-3 Half Rack, PRXperformance foldable, Grind Fold-in)

  • At least 1 Full Set of Iron or Olympic Bumper Plates: 2.5, 5, (15), 25, 45 (Full Sets come with 2 plates per weight category)

  • If you choose Iron over rubber bumper plates, add: 2x10# Bumper Plates.
